The Pitch Rating
Find your pitch
Roof pitch is rise over a 12-inch run, and we use it to rate roast. The steeper the pitch, the darker the roast and the bolder the cup. Here is how the scale works.
How to choose a coffee
Start with how you take it. If you drink your coffee black and like it to taste like coffee, the steep end of the scale is home: The Tear-Off brings cocoa and toasted nut with a full body, and Ridge Cap is our darkest roast, with baker’s chocolate and caramelized sugar. If you load it up with milk and sugar, those two hold up best too.
If you like a brighter, livelier cup, go light. Skylight leans toward blackberry, caramel and black tea, Low Slope is all fresh fruit and citrus, and Starter Strip is a natural-process Ethiopian single origin with pear, lemon and blueberry. Storm Chaser sits in the middle: chocolate-covered almond, maple and citrus in a full-bodied medium roast.

Which coffee should I start with?
If you like it smooth and bright, start with Skylight or Low Slope. For a middle-of-the-road cup with backbone, try Storm Chaser. If you drink it black and strong, go with The Tear-Off or Ridge Cap.
Do you have decaf?
Yes. Punch List is a decaffeinated Indonesian medium roast with earthy, herbal and dark chocolate notes, full body and low acidity.
What is the difference between the boxes and the pods?
The pods hold the same coffee as the matching 12 oz box, portioned into 12 single-serve pods of 11 g each. The boxes come whole bean or ground and are roasted fresh when you order.
